Feeling alright walking in
You’re going to a person’s kitchen. We keep that as ordinary and as careful as we can. Velondra does not inspect every stove and does not take the meal payment.
You know who’s cooking
A name, a face, a few years of having people over, and words from others who sat there. Read the listing before you book.
The door comes after you say yes
Neighborhood first. Exact door once a plate is yours — so a home stays a home.
Allergies are not a footnote
Every dish should list what might bother you. Say it again when you come. Cooks cook for their own family first. If you have a severe allergy, write the cook before the night.
You pay the cook
Cash or card, at the table. We don’t hold the money, so we can’t refund a plate. If the night goes wrong, tell us and tell them. We can pause an account; we cannot send the meal money back.
It’s still someone’s home
Be the guest you’d want. Shoes, phones, kids, noise — the note on that dinner will tell you. Leave if it feels off. You do not owe anyone a finished evening.
Going with someone is not a date
If you find someone to eat with, you meet at dinner. The door still comes after you book. Leave if it feels off, and tell us.
If something is wrong
In an emergency, call local emergency services first. Then tell us so we can look at the account. We read safety notes. We are not a 24-hour hotline.
Home kitchens follow different rules in different cities. Cooks tell us they cook what they’d serve their own people. If something feels off, say so or write safety@velondra.com.
