What we keep, and why

Velondra (https://velondra.com) stores the least we need to put a guest and a cook at the same table. We do not sell evenings, emails, or locations to advertisers.

What we hold

• Your name, email, photo, city, and a line about you — so the cook knows who is coming.
• How you eat (allergies, diet tags) — so we can show dinners that fit, and so the cook can cook safely.
• Bookings, seat counts, messages, and reviews — so both sides remember the night.
• The ticket total and, after dinner, what the cook recorded as taken. That is a record, not a charge.
• Sign-in details. Email and password, or Apple / Google if you use those. Passwords are not stored in the clear.
• Device notices (if you allow them) for a chair, a message, or a waitlist seat.
• Approximate location if you ask to see dinners near you. The exact door stays hidden until you book.
• Kitchen photos you or the cook upload, kept in our photo storage so the listing can show the real room.

Who sees it

The cook sees your name, photo, seat count, and the note you left. Other guests do not get your email. We use a hosted database and the Vercel website host to run the product. They only see what they need to keep the site up.

What we do not do

We do not take card numbers for the meal. Pay the cook at the table. We do not run background checks on every home. We do not sell your list of dinners. We do not use your messages to train a public model.

How long, and your choices

We keep bookings and messages while your account is open, and for a short while after if we need them for a safety report. You can ask us to correct or delete your account. Write to privacy@velondra.com. Some records (for example a cook’s note that you sat down) may stay in anonymized form.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context advertising. That is your privacy choice here: there is no sale to turn off. If a US state law gives you extra rights (access, delete, or limit), the same email is the door.

Children

Velondra is for adults. A cook may welcome children at their table; the account holder must be 18 or older.
